Meghan Markle gave fans a glimpse into a delightfully unexpected Easter “surprise” this year – and her reaction says it all.
On Sunday, April 20, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a heartwarming video on Instagram capturing her surprise at some special holiday guests: a mother duck and her adorable line of ducklings waddling across her Montecito driveway.

“Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love… and surprises!” Meghan captioned the post.
She also shared the clip to her Instagram Stories with the caption: “An Easter weekend surprise!”
Dressed in a chic white shirtdress with black buttons, a tied waist belt and neutral ballet flats, Meghan looked spring-ready as she stood at the edge of the driveway watching the duck family cross.
Her hair was pulled back in a sleek chignon, and she kept her makeup minimal and dewy.
As the ducklings emerged from the woods to rejoin their mother, Meghan gasped, covered her mouth in astonishment. She later placed both hands on her head in awe, visibly thrilled by the spontaneous moment.

The clip gave followers another rare glimpse into life at the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion.
Meghan and Prince Harry have built a life in California with their two children – Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the couple has built a quieter, family-focused life in California while simultaneously carving out successful careers in media and business.
This Easter moment adds to the content Meghan has shared since relaunching her Instagram in early 2025.

While the Sussexes reportedly enjoyed their spring break with a relaxing family vacation, things looked quite different back in the UK.
King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the annual Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle alongside other senior royals.
However, Prince William and Princess Kate were notably absent from this year’s church service.
Reports claim they wanted to spend private time together as a family in Norfolk.
To mark their recent achievements, Meghan and Harry reportedly took a “sunsoaked getaway” with Archie and Lilibet during spring break, embracing family time away from the spotlight.
