Charlotte is the middle child of Prince William and Kate. She was born on May 2, 2015.
From her first birthday up until the latest image, here’s a rundown on all the pictures of Princess Charlotte released for the occasion each year.
First Princess Charlotte birthday photo
It’s been a while since Princess Charlotte‘s first birthday, but some royal fans might feel like it was just yesterday.
For her first birthday, William and Kate released a collage of adorable pictures of Charlotte – which you can see here.
One of the images saw Charlotte having fun with a stuffed toy at the family’s Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.
Another image released by the palace showed little Charlotte standing up with her hands on a chair.

Princess Charlotte’s second birthday picture
In 2017, Princess Charlotte turned two and the photo of her was cuter than ever.
Again, the image was taken at their Norfolk home at the time. Mum Kate captured the shot. It showed Charlotte wearing a yellow knitted cardigan with a navy bow in her hair.
She looked at the camera whilst appearing to turn the pages of a book. Kate is an amateur photographer and often takes her children’s official birthday snaps.

Princess Charlotte’s red coat in third birthday photo
For her third birthday in May 2018, Charlotte looked adorable in a red coat, tights, red shoes and a pink scarf as she smiled for the camera.
At the time, the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote on social media: “Wishing a happy third birthday to Princess Charlotte – thank you all for your lovely messages!”
The image was taken on Charlotte’s first day at Willcocks Nursery School. This picture was similar to one shared of her brother Prince Louis on his third birthday. It was taken on his first day at the nursery.

Princess Charlotte’s fourth birthday
In 2019, Charlotte turned four. To mark the occasion, William and Kate shared a series of photos of Charlotte at both Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.
The first photo saw Charlotte sitting with her knees up on the grass, wearing a sweet blue floral dress. The second image showed the young royal climbing over a fence whilst smiling for the camera.
Then, the third picture showed Charlotte running with a flower in hand as she enjoyed the spring sunshine.

Princess Charlotte wearing checkered dress in fifth birthday picture
A year later, in May 2020, a photo of Princess Charlotte was once again captured by mum Kate.
The sweet photo showed Charlotte in a navy and white checkered dress as she held a bag of homemade pasta.
The palace said the little girl delivered homemade care packages to those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Princess Charlotte compared to Queen Elizabeth II
To mark her sixth birthday in 2021, Kate captured a close-up photo of Princess Charlotte smiling for the camera.
She looked just like her mum, wearing her long hair down as she flashed her pearly whites. Charlotte was wearing a blue and pink floral dress for the picture.
Many fans gushed, insisting she also looked just like her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
One said: “Absolute image of the queen!”

Princess Charlotte cuddled up to family dog in 2022 birthday photo
Sweet pictures of Princess Charlotte were released for her seventh birthday in 2022.
The little girl cuddled up to the family’s dog, cocker spaniel Orla, as she smiled for the camera.
Another image saw Charlotte wearing a light blue knitted sweater with a polka dot collared top underneath. She was sitting on the grass with purple flowers surrounding her.

Princess Charlotte compared to Princess Diana in eighth birthday image
In 2023, Charlotte turned eight. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a lovely picture of the young royal smiling for the camera while lounging in a hammock.
The picture was taken by Kate in Windsor.
Many royal fans thought she looked just like her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Ninth birthday photo of Princess Charlotte
The following year in May 2024, Princess Charlotte turned nine. The Princess of Wales took another cute picture of Charlotte.
The nine-year-old smiled for the camera as she showed off her long hair whilst wearing a burgundy cardigan, navy sweater and a blue denim skirt. She was seen leaning against flowers.

Princess Charlotte’s latest birthday photo
And that brings us to today as Princess Charlotte celebrates her 10th birthday – finally in double digits!
A photo was shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account showing Charlotte beaming for the camera and looking as grown up as ever.
The image was taken by Kate. Fans loved the picture, with many saying that Charlotte looks just like her dad Prince William!
One gushed: “Happy birthday Princess Charlotte! Looks just like her father.”
