Where was Princess Charlotte born?
Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015, at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Prince William and Kate announced their daughter’s full name at the time with a sweet tribute to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and her late grandmother Princess Diana.
Charlotte’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The young royal is third in line to the throne, just behind her father and older brother Prince George, 11.
Princess Charlotte has grown up in the public eye, attending many royal events with her parents and siblings Prince George and Prince Louis, seven.
With her older brother George set to be king one day, many royal experts have predicted that Charlotte could play a similar role to Princess Anne.
Princess Anne has been a big support for her older brother King Charles in his role as monarch. Many believe Charlotte will provide a similar support system for George in the future.

What will Princess Charlotte be called when William is king?
There’s speculation over whether Charlotte will also inherit Anne’s title of Princess Royal in the future when Prince William becomes king.
According to the royal family’s official website, the title is traditionally carried by the monarch’s oldest daughter and held for life.
The title is not inherited nor automatic, and it’ll evidently be down to Prince William when he is king.
He’ll make the decision as to whether to make his daughter Charlotte the next Princess Royal – but only if Anne is no longer with us.
