The young Princess Charlotte had a gutsy nickname when she was at nursery school – and it suited her down to a tee.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter is said to be more adventurous and outgoing than her brothers, George and Louis. The children are expected to be returning to school now that the summer holidays are over in the UK.

George, Charlotte, and Louis currently attend Lambrook school in Berkshire.

Previously, a royal expert dished the details on Princess Charlotte’s nickname and it suits her ‘feisty’ personality. She was reportedly given the moniker while at Willcocks Nursery School.

Charlotte’s nursery school nickname – ‘Warrior Princess’

Her nickname while at nursery was supposedly Warrior Princess – perfect for young Charlotte and her personality!

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight in 2019: “Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously, she is a Princess, but she’s quite a tomboy.

“She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality. I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her.”

Charlotte, now 10, is said to have also been called ‘Mignonette’ by her father and ‘Lottie’ by her mother.

However, her primary school has been St Thomas’ Battersea, and we’re hoping they kept up with the sweet nickname! At the time, she was said to be ‘excited’ to start the bigger school where brother Prince George was also attending.

Nicholl suspects her friends will have called her ‘Lottie’ like her mum.

A nickname to suit Princess Charlotte’s personality

Back when Charlotte was two-years-old, People Magazine reported that Kate had said she was growing fast and was in charge. Therefore, the nickname fits!

Samantha Burge, wife of Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge, told the publication: “She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge.

“We have both got 2-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat.”

She added: “[She said] they are both becoming really good friends, George and Charlotte.”

Princess Charlotte is the younger sister to her elder brother Prince George, 12. She is also the older sister to her younger brother Prince Louis, seven.

Certainly a leader, in September 2022, the princess was spotted at her great-grandmother’s funeral telling Prince George to bow, as the Queen’s coffin went past.

During the Queen’s platinum jubilee in June 2022, she was also seen correcting her younger brother’s posture.

The royal expert said that Princess Charlotte is the “most outspoken” of her siblings and has “got a huge personality”.  She’s also reportedly “cheeky like William, who was an outgoing little boy who knew his mind”.

Adorable nickname for brother Louis

Princess Charlotte’s nickname isn’t the only cute one the royal family use. When little Prince Louis was born in 2018, George and his sister Charlotte made a nickname for their younger sibling after meeting him.

Royal author Robert Jobson revealed after he was born in the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, the doting older siblings began calling him ‘Lou Lou’ for short.

It was dubbed an “affectionate” name for the new addition to the family – who is now seven!
