A heartwarming moment between Prince George and Prince Louis during this week’s VE Day celebrations has melted hearts online after fans spotted an adorable brotherly exchange caught on camera.

During the 80th anniversary commemorations of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day) in London, royal watchers captured a brief but touching interaction between the two young princes during a military parade.

VE Day celebrates the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces on May 8, 1945.

In one unseen moment that was later shared online, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, seven, were seen waving to cameras at the parade before turning to each other and sharing a smile.

The candid interaction between the future king and his younger sibling offered royal fans a glimpse of their close relationship.

The clip was posted to X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Brotherhood. Prince George and Prince Louis smiling at each other after waving to the public.”

Fans immediately began flooding the comments with love for the moment.

“Aw, so sweet! Love when they interact,” one fan gushed.

“Such a sweet shot,” another agreed.

“Great memories. A strong foundation is being put in place. The children look happy. Giving them a private childhood seems to be the best thing,” one commenter praised parents Prince William and Kate’s parenting.

“Lovely moment,” a fourth fan wrote, while another added: “Aw, not seen this before.”

But it wasn’t the only moment that Prince Louis charmed the crowds.

The youngest Wales sibling also found himself in the spotlight after being caught playfully mimicking his big brother George during the parade.

Both boys were seated side by side, dressed smartly in suits and ties, during the military procession.

At one point, George was seen brushing his hair out of his face. Louis, noticing his older brother, decided to copy the move, dramatically smoothing his own hair.

Prince Louis’ antics during VE Day parade

Throughout the event, Louis continued to live up to his reputation as the family’s scene-stealer.

Cameras caught him making silly faces, sticking out his tongue, and even showing off his gappy grin.

He also melted hearts with a more tender moment when he was seen brushing off his father Prince William’s uniform during the parade.

The young royal appeared to be gently dusting William’s shoulder before tugging at a cord on his jacket.

Prince Louis was seated between his father Prince William, 42, and Prince George. To their left, the Princess of Wales, 43, and Princess Charlotte, 10, completed the picture-perfect royal line-up in the front row.

The family walked together ahead of the parade and took their seats in a specially arranged viewing area, alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and other senior royals, including Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Anne’s husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

The parade marked the start of a week of VE Day commemorations, honouring the moment in 1945 when Germany surrendered, effectively ending World War II in Europe.

It’s a historically significant moment for the royal family. King George VI, Prince William’s great-grandfather, was monarch during the time and famously addressed the nation from Buckingham Palace on that day.
