Prince Louis once again charmed the nation with his cheeky antics, this time during the 80th anniversary celebrations of VE Day at Buckingham Palace.

The seven-year-old royal was seated alongside his dad, Prince William, 42, during Monday’s military procession (May 5).

Cameras caught Louis adorably brushing down the future king’s military uniform, and then giving the golden braided cord on William’s shoulder a curious tug.

The sweet moment quickly went viral on social media. Fans crowned Louis the unofficial MVP of the day’s commemorations.

“There he is, the Meme King-In-Chief himself, Prince Louis!” one fan posted on Twitter, alongside a clip of the moment.

Others chimed in with praise.

“Prince Louis out here stealing the show again. Someone give this kid a crown already,” one fan gushed.

Another wrote: “Bless him, he’s just helping his dad look good!”

Prince Louis’ ‘remark’ to William during VE Day parade

Meanwhile, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling in a chat with The Sun, Louis asked his dad during the parade: “Wasn’t this supposed to be fun?”

William reportedly replied: “It is son.”

Louis sat front and centre with his siblings, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10, on a specially built viewing platform on the Queen Victoria Memorial outside the Palace.

Seated beside William, Louis was seen staring at the sky with a tired expression, sticking out his tongue, and flashing his newly gap-toothed smile, much to the crowd’s amusement.

Kate Middleton, 43, watched the festivities from beside Charlotte, dressed in a stunning magenta outfit paired with a matching pillbox hat.

Her three children were coordinated in smart black formalwear.

The Princess of Wales has long captured her children’s milestone moments.

Last month, Louis turned seven on April 23. Kensington Palace released a birthday portrait showing his toothy grin.

Just over a week later, on May 2, Charlotte celebrated her 10th birthday, with Kate sharing a photo of her daughter in a camouflage jacket and backpack outdoors.

The VE Day celebrations included a moving military parade and flypast that saw 1,300 Armed Forces members, including personnel from NATO allies such as the US, France, and Germany, marching from Parliament Square to the Mall.

The day’s commemorations opened with the words of Sir Winston Churchill’s 1945 victory speech, voiced by actor Timothy Spall.

This was also followed by a spectacular Red Arrows display.
