However, it might not be a simple ask.
Prince Harry’s plans for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to reunite with King Charles
Apparently, Prince Harry is set on securing a stay for the Sussexes at Balmoral this summer, as the Duke of Sussex has several plans for UK returns coming up in the next few months.
It might not be plainsailing at camp Sussex though, as Meghan Markle is said to have her reservations about Archie and Lilibet spending time with the royal family.
An insider claimed to Closer: “Harry and Meghan are expected to spend over a month in Europe this summer, using their newly completed villa in Portugal as a base while travelling back and forth for engagements and private visits. The family are understood to be flying over shortly after Archie and Lilibet finish school in June. Harry is pushing hard for a family stay at Balmoral this summer while he and Meghan are based in Europe, with hopes of arranging a private meeting with King Charles. He’s determined to make it happen. Harry genuinely believes Balmoral could be the place where things finally start healing.
“But Meghan still doesn’t feel fully comfortable in Britain. That hasn’t changed. The security concerns are very real to her, especially with the children involved. The situation is said to be causing strain between the couple.”
Prince Harry’s return
Harry is expected to stop by the UK for a pre-Invictus Games event in June or July and as Peter Phillips is due to marry Harriet Sperling on June 6, Prince Harry (albeit unconfirmed) will likely be on the guest list given his closeness to Peter.
If Harry is present at Peter and Harriet’s nuptials in June, it will be the first time he has been in a room with Prince William since 2024… awkward.

Prince William ‘isn’t happy’ about King Charles ‘reuniting’ with Prince Harry
Unsurprisingly, the Prince and Princess of Wales are allegedly unhappy about the prospect of brushing shoulders with Harry all summer.
The insider alleged: “The royal family are feeling anxious about having the brothers in the same room again. While Harry holds onto hope, William is still furious about his behaviour. There are so many unresolved feelings between them. And the family fear that William’s ready to unleash how he feels, which could even lead to an altercation. William and Kate are deeply uneasy about the whole thing. William especially feels boundaries must stay in place. They’ve made it clear they don’t want a situation where Harry and Meghan slowly start drifting back into the fold. There’s a concern that once the door opens even slightly, it becomes harder to control.”
Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace and representatives for Harry and Meghan have been contacted for comment.
