The Prince and Princess of Wales have been married since April 2011 and are one of the most known couples in the world.
But one woman suffered a mix-up when William, 42, and Kate, 43, visited her care home in 2020.
Kate Middleton mistaken for Prince William’s assistant
The royal couple visited Cardiff’s Shire Hall Care Home as they met residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wearing masks, Kate and William met Joan Drew-Smith. But it was Joan’s question about Kate that left the couple chuckling.
As reported by HELLO!, after being reintroduced to Joan, the Prince of Wales said: “Hello Joan, do you remember we did the bingo with you? You said we weren’t very good!”
Well I am your assistant! I have been for a long time!
Joan replied: “Yes. You did a bloody [bleep] job.”
William said: “We have to wear masks because of the virus, but it’s difficult to hear sometimes when you can’t see someone’s mouth.”
But then Joan pointed to Kate and asked: “Is that your assistant?”
Kate found the comment amusing and placed a hand on William’s shoulder, saying: “Well I am your assistant! I have been for a long time!”
Prince William later gushed to staff at the care home: “I love Joan, she’s brilliant. If only everyone was as honest as her.”

Over the years, royal fans have loved seeing banter between William and Kate and a more playful side to their relationship.
Just last week, the couple were in Scotland for the ship naming ceremony of the HMS Glasgow at BAE Systems’ shipyard.
But there was an amusing moment between the couple and a member of the public.
Princess Kate wowed with her look for the engagement as she sported a navy and white midi dress.
In a video shared to X, one member of the public made a comment over Kate’s “beautiful” appearance.
They said: “You look beautiful Kate, you too William,” to which William quipped: “You don’t have to say that, don’t worry.”

William and Kate celebrate 14th wedding anniversary
The Prince and Princess of Wales recently celebrated 14 years of marriage.
They tied the knot at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. They have since welcomed three children.
The couple are parents to Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.
