Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's neighbour claims her 'relationship with Montecito is distant'

Now, one neighbour has spoken out on the royal couple and shared his view on them. It’s not the first time a neighbour has spoken out as actress Sharon Stone once spilled some details too.
What Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are like as neighbours
Back in 2020, Meghan, 43, and Harry, 40, announced the shock news that they were to quit life as working royals and move to America.
The royal couple – along with their children, Prince Archie, now six, and Princess Lilibet, now three, – have lived in Montecito, California ever since.
According to neighbour and local journalist Richard Mineards, Meghan has “never tried to fit in” in Montecito.
As reported by the MailOnine, Mr Mineards told Ici Paris of Meghan: “She cultivates a very controlled image. She pays attention to every appearance, every word, every gesture. And here in Montecito, we appreciate simple people, even famous ones. Oprah Winfrey, for example, shows up at charity events. Meghan doesn’t play the community game.
He is always charming, approachable, with that very recognisable Windsor accent.
“There was even this anecdote of an elderly neighbour who wanted to give her a documentary he had made on local history. The old man never got past the gate.”
He also alleged that Meghan is “practically invisible” and claimed her “relationship with Montecito is… distant”.
Moving onto Harry, Mr Mineards said: “He is always charming, approachable, with that very recognisable Windsor accent. He smiles, shakes hands, willingly exchanges a few words. We’ve seen him at the beach, in an organic coffee shop, or cycling in the hills.”

Sharon Stone on living near Harry and Meghan
However, in contrast to these claims, actress Sharon Stone previously opened up about living close to Harry and Meghan.
In 2020, a few months after the Sussexes made the move stateside, Sharon sat down for an interview with Access Hollywood.
During the interview, she was asked about living near the royals.
“You know, the thing about them that is so great is they didn’t come here to live off of our community, they came here to be a part of our community,” she said.

Sharon continued to gush over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“My friend said she was sitting in her car and they bicycled across the street and waved at her while she was sitting at the red light,” she said.
“They’re a part of our community, they’ve become a giving, caring, participating part of our community. They’re not here to be like ‘Would you like to kiss my butt?'” she added.
