Prince William wows royal fans with his appearance in Dartmoor today amid 'bold' new project
Royal fans were swooning over William's lookPrince William made a surprise appearance to Dartmoor today (June 12) to launch a new project.
On Thursday, Prince William, 42, made a surprise appearance in southwest England to kick off a brand new restoration project.
William is the head of the Duchy of Cornwall, which owns approximately 68,000 acres of the ancient moor – now a protected national park.

However, peatland, a natural store of carbon, is being eroded. And climate change is causing other stresses to the landscape.
So now, a collaboration between the Duchy and Central Dartmoor Landscape Recovery Project is uniting landowners and others to encourage new approaches to biodiversity, conservation, grazing and river restoration – all as part of the largest project of its kind.
The goal is to restore the wilderness and also strengthening its resilience to changes in the climate. Along with this it hopes to meet the ever-changing needs of the local people and their farmers.
As part of the project, wooded areas will be created to shelter rivers and to re-establish traditional cattle and sheep grazing practices.
And it seems Prince William is supportive of the plans, calling them “bold and ambitious”.
William wrote about his thoughts in the new foreword to the Landscape Vision for Dartmoor.
He said: “The balance between nature and people has evolved for thousands of years to shape the landscape we recognise today. To keep Dartmoor special, we must respond to the twin challenges of global warming, and the requirement to restore nature. While ensuring the communities on Dartmoor can thrive.
“The Dartmoor Vision shows us what might be possible and how that might be achieved. It is bold and ambitious. And it is something that I hope, by working together, can be delivered not just for the current generation, but for generations to come.”
Fans gush over William’s appearance
William appeared dressed for the weather in rain boots and a flat cap, and his look definitely wowed royal fans. And the love for his new look comes as fans have also been recently loving William’s new beard.
Fans took to X and Instagram to gush over the pictures of Prince William at Dartmoor.
One shared two images of the prince smiling in his boots and cap. They penned: “Prince William today,” alongside two heart eye emojis.
Another responded: “Such a handsome man.”
“Only William can look so good in wellies,” a third added.
Another mentioned how his late mother Princess Diana would feel seeing the work Prince William puts into his project. They said: “His mum would be so proud.”
Another person gushed: “A really dashing prince, who will be a dashing king some day.”
