It's a sight to behold...If you had a bingo card for the future king Prince William, showing off his dad dancing moves at Taylor Swift’s concert wouldn’t be on there. Thankfully, we have the moment regardless.
The heir to the throne celebrated his 42nd birthday at the Eras Tour last year, and the hilarious clip of him Shaking It Off still crops up on social media.
The dad-of-three took his children to meet the pop star when she was in London for her record-breaking concert tour. We take a look back at Prince William dad dancing to Taylor Swift, because there should never be a moment where it becomes lost within cyberspace.
Prince William spotted dad dancing to Shake it Off at Taylor Swift’s concert
Cast your minds back to the summer of 2024. Taylor Swift was more than halfway through the Eras Tour and was performing her first sell-out shows in the UK capital.
But no one expected Prince William to rock up with Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, nor see him busting out his best dad dancing moves in front of millions.
He delighted fans as he joined in with the crowd and fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall who also attended the sell-out show.
Prince William has known Taylor Swift for some time. They eve shared the stage in 2013, where they performed Livin’ On A Prayer with Jon Bon Jovi during a charity event at Kensington Palace. At the time, William said it made him ‘cringe’ but it doesn’t seem he did this time around in the crowd. However, the singer didn’t invite him up to the stage this time.
The Firm was pulling out all the stops, as earlier in the day, the military band at Buckingham Palace performed the track to mark the concert arriving in London.

Selfie with the singer
After Prince William dusted off his dad dancing skills he even had a selfie with Taylor Swift, as well as George and Charlotte.
The Prince of Wales thanked the star for a “great concert” and shared a snap of them posing for the selfie.
Whereas Taylor herself posted another selfie, where her partner Travis Kelce posed with them with a big grin.
She captioned it: “Happy Bday M8. London shows are off to a splendid start.”
However, at the time, there were reports Meghan Markle was attempting to get closer to Taylor Swift. If so, it would have been awkward pill for the Duchess of Sussex to swallow.
