The royal family’s favourite drinks
The late Queen’s choice apparently said a lot about her. Queen Elizabeth was said to be a fan of Earl Grey with a dash of milk.
Psychologist Darren Stanton explains that such a sophisticated choice could imply the late monarch’s prowess in strength and leadership.
“People who enjoy Earl Grey tea are linked to class and are mature in their personality,” Stanton explained to coffee retailer Coffee Friend via British Heritage.

He explained that Elizabeth’s favourite tea illustrated her love for simplicity. As well as her assertiveness and honesty.
Like his mother, King Charles has taken to leading effortlessly. Therefore, it is unsurprising that they also share a similar favourite drink.
Meaning behind King Charles’ favourite drink
Also opting for tea, Charles favours Darjeeling tea.
Darjeeling tea is a type of black tea grown in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. It boasts a light and floral flavour.

“This [drink] signifies someone has a personality that isn’t afraid to take risks in order to get what they want, considering Darjeeling is a spicier acquired taste. Those who opt to drink Darjeeling are big thinkers with creative ideas and are calculated enough to first analyse situations without making rash decisions,” Stanton explained.
We know this is very true of Charles, whose mission has been to modernise the monarchy through ventures like his support of the arts, music and showcasing British traditions.
A floral flavour is also fitting, as Charles is very fond of gardening.
“Cappuccino drinkers are people with highly demanding personalities,” psychologist Darren Stanton explained to Marie Claire about Queen Camilla’s favourite drink.
He explained that those who favour a Cappuccino can be “risk takers,” and aren’t afraid to step out of their comfort zone.
Queen Camilla’s drink of choice implies her sensitivity
Not only that, Cappuccino lovers like Camilla can sometimes be sensitive when it comes to judgement on their personal life.
Queen Camilla has been no stranger to scrutiny, especially during her controversial and heavily rumoured affair with Charles whilst he was still married to Princess Diana.
Prince William fittingly has a predictable favourite, English Breakfast tea.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to share the same favourite drink.
The Duke and Duchess are both fond of a very health green juice, packed with vegetables, vitamins and superfoods.

Stanton explains that this could mean the drinker is “obsessive,” largely when it comes to their health. It can also indicate their mindfulness when it comes to the planet.
But for Harry it may imply he is open-minded to adopting the favourites of his wife. It also resembles the couple’s versatility.
An undoubted characteristic the pair share considering they left their life in the UK to start a new one in the US, where they are now raising their young family and seemingly thriving.
