What else did William say?
This wasn’t Michelle and William’s first meeting, however.
They’d met moments earlier when the 19-year-old was named Young Player of the Tournament.
Shaking hands with Michelle as she passed, he reportedly said: “Michelle, what did I tell you? I did. What a player, fantastic, well done.”
According to Jeremy, William also had some supportive words for England manager, Sarina Wiegman.
“We get to do it again, well done, hey, amazing. Penalties to take it, eh?” he apparently said.
After the game, the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account shared clips of the trophy ceremony, with a smiling Charlotte watching on.
“An incredible night for @lionesses and @england in Basel. Congratulations to Sarina, the team, and all the support staff. Champions!” the caption read.

Prince William’s ‘raw emotion’ during Lionesses final
Meanwhile, a body language expert has claimed that Prince William showed off “raw emotion” during the final on Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of Genting Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton said: “I truly think Prince William is a fantastic ambassador for sport, he’s clearly genuinely passionate about it.
“Both he and Kate are competitive by nature. And you can see how completely absorbed he becomes in the moment. There’s a brilliant shot of him with his hands to his face, eyes wide and mouth open, clearly caught up in the tension of the game. That raw emotion on his face shows just how invested he is.”
“The fact that he gets so emotionally involved in moments like this helps ignite a real sense of pride and national unity,” he then went on to say.
“I think that’s part of why people respond to him so strongly. He’s built trust, rapport, and a real connection with the public. And when the time comes, I believe that will make him a very popular king.”
