Prince William melts hearts after receiving friendship bracelet from little girl

One thing that has been very apparent over the years is that Prince William is great with young fans. As a dad of three youngsters, it’s not really a surprise that he has that side to him.
But royal fans can’t help but gush every time they see another video or photo of Prince William interacting with kids. Especially because it never looks like he is on a work duty, but instead wants to speak to them.
Prince William given friendship bracelet by a young fan
A trend that made a comeback and has been going around for over a year now is friendship bracelets. And it seems even the royal family isn’t missing out.
In a video circulating on social media, a little girl is seen excitedly awaiting her turn to speak to Prince William. When she eventually gets to the front of the line, she wastes no time in giving him a bracelet.
The encounter took place during Prince William’s 2023 visit to Manchester’s Hideaway Youth Project. And it was during this time that Taylor Swift’s friendship bracelet trend was really taking off for her Eras Tour, which William seemed to enjoy with his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince William appears to be asking the young fan questions about her bracelet. But she doesn’t just tell him about it – she gives it to him.
The little girl makes Prince William raise his arm, and then puts the bracelet on his wrist for him. Clearly touched by the gift, William plays around with it, as the camera zooms in to show a close-up of the bracelet.
Taking to X, one fan posted the video. They wrote: “Core memory unlocked. The Prince of Wales was given a friendship bracelet by a pupil during a visit to the Hideaway Youth Project, the lead partner of the Manchester Peace Together Alliance.”
Fans gush over the moment
Responding to the video, royal fans all showed how much they love the relationship Prince William has with young fans.
One wrote: “Children seem to love him. That says more about his character than anything else. A good man and a great prince.”
“He is so wonderful with kids. That little girl is so happy,” another penned.
A third commented: “Oh my goodness, this is so sweet. And we all know Prince William will wear that bracelet.”
William has other friendship bracelets
This isn’t the only time Prince William has been spotted with a friendship bracelet. Back in 2024, he was wearing a bracelet with “papa” written on it with beads.
It turns out that was a present from his daughter, Princess Charlotte, who had recently attended a Taylor Swift concert. And in the past, her dad has even sang on a stage with Taylor herself.
Speaking about the bracelet, Prince William admitted he “promised” her he would wear it.
The prince said: “Well, this is a relic if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided she wanted to create a bracelet for. She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that I would wear it and try not to lose it while I was out here.”
