Meghan Markle 'sends message to royal family' in With Love, Meghan season two
Is she more "approachable" and "authentic" because of this decision?
The “revamped style” of Meghan Markle on display in With Love, Meghan season two is sending a clear message about her royal status, an image consultant claims.
New episodes of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle series will drop on Netflix next Tuesday (August 26). A season two trailer, released earlier this month, gave fans a preview of what to expect – and which celebrity guests will pop up in the kitchen with Meghan.
However, one style expert reckons they’ve spotted a big change when it comes to a particular aspect of how Meghan presents herself in With Love, Meghan season two. And this could aid the perception of Meghan as both “approachable” and “authentic”.

Meghan Markle’s outfits on With Love, Meghan
California-based personal stylist Cynthia Kennedy has suggested Meghan is ‘not dressing like a duchess’ these days. That conclusion is said to have been based on what Meghan wears during the With Love, Meghan series 2 preview.
During the first season of With Love, Meghan, fashion fans cooed over the pieces from the show’s star’s wardrobe.
They reportedly included clothes from labels such as Loro Piana, Max Mara and Brunello Cucinelli. Furthermore, some items were said to be worth over $1,000 each.
Now, however, it is claimed Meghan may be going for a more down to earth look and dressing like herself as the Netflix series returns.

What outfits does Meghan Markle wear in With Love, Meghan season two?
Among the outfits Meghan wears in the 100-second trailer include a striped frock, a floral dress, and a thick crimson jumper.
These are adjudged to be a “far cry from the uniform tones and cuts of season one,” according to MailOnline.
Additionally Ms Kennedy told the tabloid website she feels these sartorial decisions make it clear to her audience that she may consider herself free of royal expectations.
She said: “Her revamped style is sending everyone a message that I don’t have to dress like a duchess anymore – I get to dress like myself, and be more approachable, modern, authentic and real.”

Meghan’s clothing choices ‘feel deliberate’
Ms Kennedy continued: “Her choices feel deliberate and more like a conscious move toward comfort, vulnerability, relatability, and ease without losing that sense of polish that keeps her aspirational. It’s a careful balance and I think she’s hitting it.”
And on the fashion shift, Ms Kennedy also noted how Meghan has picked more “relaxed” clothing for the upcoming run of the show.

Meghan’s style ‘feels softer and relaxed’ on Netflix cooking show
She went on: “In season one, Meghan relied on very polished, put-together looks that were almost ‘Duchess-lite’. Clean tailoring, muted neutrals, structured pieces, and an overall feeling of being carefully refined. In season two, her style feels softer, relaxed, effortless, and more lived-in. Her looks are still elegant. But now it’s mixed with approachable pieces like relaxed, cozy knits, breezy dresses, and more casual silhouettes.”
She added that Meghan’s style “feels less like a public figure on a stage” and “more like a woman at home letting you into her world”.
Ms Kennedy also suggested this new look could assist with projecting more relatability.
She said it “signals that she’s not trying to perform ‘royalty’ anymore”. Instead, according to Ms Kennedy, Meghan will connect with people “as a modern woman, wife, and mother”.
Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have embarked on new ventures since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. However, they have become estranged from the royal family thanks to their tell-all interviews and Harry’s memoir, Spare, that contained bombshells allegations about their time within the monarchy.
