Donald Trump's 'awkward' moment during state banquet dinner speech as he toasts to 'special' King Charles
It's Trump's second visit to the UKDonald Trump appeared to make a huge blunder during his state banquet speech to King Charles, which left royal fans cringing.
Over the past couple days, Donald Trump has been on his second state visit to the UK.
But during his speech at the state banquet last night (September 18), some fans believe Trump actually made not one, but two mistakes. US President Donald, along with wife and First Lady Melania, were invited to the lavish meal at Windsor Castle.

Did Trump call King Charles ‘queen’?
In a clip of the state banquet that has been going around X, some users were confused to hear Donald Trump refer to King Charles as ‘queen’.
The president said: “To His Majesty, King Charles III, a very, very special man. And also a very, very special queen. Thank you very much.”
Immediately people were confused, wondering exactly how Donald Trump could have gotten the title of King Charles so wrong.
One X user posted the video, writing: “Did President Trump just call King Charles queen? Was that a slip? Or did I mishear?”
Another added: “He definitely did say ‘special queen’.”
“It definitely did sound that way, even though we knew what he meant” a third added.
While Trump did say ‘special queen’, he was actually referring to Queen Camilla. He seemed to be thanking both the king and queen for his visit, but chose to say it in a way that raised a lot of questions.
But this is the likely real meaning, especially as he made another blunder as it was happening.

Donald Trump got Kate and Camilla mixed up
Right after thanking the king and queen, Donald Trump turned to look at Kate Middleton – not Camilla.
It took him a second, but he realised his mistake and quickly tried to cover it up by finding Camilla at the other side of the table.
But it was too slow, as fans had already spotted the blunder, and realised Donald Trump may have been referring to Kate, when speaking about the queen.
One fan wrote on X: “Trump looked straight at Kate, then Camilla, after that – when he toasted the (king) and queen…”
Another penned: “Donald trump looks at Kate when he thanks the ‘Queen’ of England to conclude his speech. Awks…”

State banquet speech
Donald Trump’s state banquet speech did cause quite a lot of attention. Not only did fans notice those awkward moments between him and King Charles and Kate. But some also believed he ‘snubbed’ Prince Harry.
During the speech he praised Charles for raising “a remarkable son”. And even gushed about William’s wife, Princess Kate.
But throughout the whole speech, Prince Harry, also King Charles’ son, failed to get any mention whatsoever.
