The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has shared a rare video and photo of her daughter, Princess Lilibet, to Instagram.

Meghan, 44, posted the cute clip, along with a new photo of her and Prince Harry’s four-year-old, to celebrate the International Day of the Girl, which was marked on Saturday (October 11).

The observation celebrates the power of girls as well as recognises the challenges girls face.

The adorable video, shared on the Duchess of Sussex’s verified Instagram page, shows little Lili running across a lawn, seemingly at their home in California.

Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other.

A further photo shows her hand-in-hand with mum Meghan. The pair are standing in front of their pond, with Meghan gazing down lovingly at Lilibet, who is dressed in pink. As usual, Lilibet’s face is not visible, but her gorgeous wavy red hair can be seen from behind.

“To all the girls – this world is yours,” Meghan captioned the post. “Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you.”

“It’s your right and our responsibility, she continued. “Go get ‘em girl!”

She signed off by wishing her 4.2 million Instagram followers: “Happy International Day of the Girl.”

Fans gushed over the glimpse of Lilibet, with many complimenting her hair. One person said on X: “Even from the back, you can tell she’s the cutest little red hair princess in the world.”

Another wrote: “Lili has her daddy’s height as well as his hair.”

A third added: “The cutest red-headed Princess, Lilibet Diana.”

For years, Prince Harry and Meghan have kept their children out of the limelight, rarely sharing photos of either their son, Prince Archie, or Princess Lilibet.

However, since returning to social media at the start of the year, Meghan has began to feature her little ones a little more prominently on her feed, but never showing their full faces.

Archie and Lilibet photos leaked

Over the summer, the couple are said to have been “devastated” as some family photos were allegedly leaked.

The images showed the family of four, and one of their beloved pooches, having a day out with other families at Santa Claus Beach, as six-year-old Prince Archie enjoyed a surfing lesson.

Just last week, Meghan opened up on the topic of her children and their privacy at an awards do.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled to New York on Thursday (October 9) to accept their Humanitarians of the Year award at the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala, awarded in recognition of their efforts to create a safer online environment for young people.

In her acceptance speech, Meghan seized the opportunity to champion this work. But she also made a sweet nod to her children.

“Our children Archie and Lili are just six- and four-years-old. Can you believe it?” She said.

“Luckily still too young for social media but we know that day is coming,” she continued. “And like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against the dangers.”
