It looks like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should have listened to his father Prince Philip.

Andrew’s late father was said to have warned him about seedy billionaires like Jeffrey Epstein.

Following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct during his time as trade envoy, Andrew’s behaviour has come under renewed scrutiny.

And his lavish past behaviour is being examined under a microscope…

Prince Philip ‘warned’ Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Andrew allegedly racked up an eye-watering sum of £4million of public money on flights and hotels during his ten years as UK trade envoy.

During this time, he reportedly jetted off on 76 foreign trips between 2001 and 2010. These trips are said to have cost an average of £51,000 a piece, not including his security bill.

And during this period, Andrew’s behaviour was said to be very questionable.

From dates with models and brushing shoulders with billionaires, seemingly including convicted late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was described as “boorish”.

He even earned a less than complimentary nickname for himself.

Consequently, alarm bells began to ring for none other than his father, Prince Philip. Prince Philip was even said to have warned Andrew about his “rude” behaviour and mingling with billionaires.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ‘entitled’ behaviour exposed

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun: “[Diplomats] are universally saying that he was rude, entitled and only spoke to the people he wanted to speak to. And I spoke to so many people over the years, not inquiring, but they wanted to tell me how awful he was.”

Seward alleged that Philip repeatedly warned Andrew about the “seedy billionaires,” he had ties to.

He said that they were probably looking for a “pet royal”.

“Prince Philip saw straight through his son. He used to yell at him saying, ‘I warned you about seedy billionaires looking for a pet royal to elevate their own status!’.”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor earned an unflattering nickname

Former diplomat Simon Wilso penned in 2010, the final year of Andrew’s work as trade envoy, that Andrew had a brutal nickname of “HBH” – “His Royal Buffoon Highness”.

He detailed that Andrew was dubbed a “buffoon” due to his “childish obsession with doing the exact opposite of what had been agreed”.

Cabinet Minister Sir Chris Bryant once described Andrew as “rude, arrogant and entitled,” based on his time as trade envoy.

He also earned the nickname “Air Miles Andy” after reportedly racking up £565,000 worth of flights – in just one year.

These trips were said to have coincided with major sporting events including the Bahrain Grand Prix and the US Masters golf tournament in 2004.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest over ‘links’ to Jeffrey Epstein

The latest tranche of Epstein files renewed scrutiny upon Andrew’s relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Following the release of files, Andrew was accused of sharing sensitive and confidential documents with Epstein.

He was said to have done this during his time as a UK trade envoy.

Being pictured or named in the Epstein files does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing. Andrew has continuously and vehemently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct on February 19, his 66th birthday and eventually released eleven hours later, under investigation.

The former prince’s representatives have been contacted for comment. Buckingham Palace have also been contacted for comment.

Andrew has vehemently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
