Prince William makes shock appearance on DWTS to support Robert Irwin
Dancing With The Stars viewers weren't expecting this!
Prince William wowed DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) viewers last night (November 11) when he made a very surprising appearance.
The future king appeared on screens and shared a touching message to contestant and conservationist, Robert Irwin.

Prince William appears on DWTS
The last thing we expected was a prince twirling onto the dance floor, right? Well, that isn’t exactly how it happened, but Prince William did technically make his DWTS debut this week.
The Prince of Wales appeared in a special video message to Robert Irwin and told Robert he had “a seriously good chance of winning,” the competition.
It came ahead of Robert, who is the son of late conservationist and TV star Steve Irwin, dancing the jive with his partner, Witney Carson.
Following William’s message of good luck, Robert gushed: “We are doing this dance for Bindi (Robert’s sister), and we’re doing this dance for Prince William. So, let’s not mess this up.”
Prince William’s motivational words to Robert Irwin
Wills said to motivate Robert: “We’re going to save the world… Best of luck on the show,” referring to Robert’s support in protecting the environment.
It comes after William has been in Rio de Janeiro, where he celebrated the Earthshot Prize awards, described as a “a global challenge to find, support and celebrate those who turn bold ideas into real solutions to repair our planet,” as per the Earthshot website.
When the prince flashed onto screen, Robert exclaimed: “Oh my goodness!… How was Rio?”
William, who could be seen wearing a simple white shirt, stated that the prize ceremony had gone “really well”.
He continued: “We’re missing you…Whilst your twinkle toes are going off elsewhere, I need you down here.”
Robert, unsurprisingly, could be seen becoming visibly emotional.

Robert’s royal ‘seal of approval’
Judge Bruno Tonioli, who is famed for his time on Strictly Come Dancing, praised Robert’s dance and pointed out that he had earned a “royal seal of approval,” and now he had “America’s seal of approval.”
Fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba also praised: “You have come from being so charismatic that first episode, and now you have turned into a beautiful storyteller with your heart open.”
William’s surprise appearance came just a few days after his stint in Brazil, where he hosted the the Earthshot Prize Awards, in Rio de Janeiro on November 5.
William’s trip to Brazil
During the widely publicised trip, William was seen showing off his football and volleyball skills as he met with locals.
He also went on a boat tour of mangrove swamps to learn more about how they are conserved and how they protect biodiversity.
Prince William even visited the Christ the Redeemer statue where he posed for snaps that echoed photographs of Princess Diana during her trip to Rio de Janeiro in 1991.
The Prince of Wales has definitely had a busy past couple of weeks!
