International Women’s Day gives focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

It is also observed by the Princess of Wales, who shared her own message on March 8.

“Today we celebrate the kindness, resilience and quiet strength of women in our families and communities,” she wrote alongside an image of a mum holding her baby. “This day is about standing up alongside one another — recognising the loving influence of women, who nurture and hope, encourage others and help make the world kinder and more compassionate.”

Meghan Markle’s ‘UK return’

Meghan’s message comes just days after rumours have swirled that she and Prince Harry could be planning on departing the US and returning to the UK.

Meghan is said to be on a mission.

An insider reportedly told journalist Rob Shuter: “She wants to show the British public what they threw away. It’s not anger — it’s confidence.”

Meanwhile, another source apparently said: “She’s not going back quietly. If she returns, it will be on her terms.”

Meghan’s return to the UK is expected to coincide with Prince Harry’s one-year-to-go Invictus Games event, which will take place in Birmingham on July 10.

One insider claimed that she has her sights set on “the best wardrobe ever seen on a British royal,” during her UK comeback.
