Princess Eugenie's son August shares 'resemblance' to Prince Harry's son Archie in new pictures, fans say
Archie is a couple of years older than August
Royal fans have been blown away by the resemblance between Princess Eugenie‘s son August and his second cousin Prince Archie.
Mum-of-two Princess Eugenie shared a fond tribute to her youngest son Ernest on Instagram over the weekend, marking his second birthday.
But among the happy wishes sent to the young royal in the Insta post’s comments section, several of those responding claimed they could see a family likeness when it came to his older brother – with one person even suggesting that evidenced a “strong bond”.
Princess Eugenie pays birthday tribute to son Ernest
Ernest’s mother cooed over him in her post’s caption: “Happy birthday my darling Ernie. 2 today! And what an incredible two years it’s been. Always smiling, always laughing, always giving hugs and hello’s and making everyone happy. My golden boy, we love you!”
Among the carousel of pics Princess Eugenie shared in her upload were images of Ernest walking down the street hand in hand with his brother August, four. Princess Eugenie shares her two sons with husband Jack Brooksbank.
The two boys were also shown peering out of an airplane window, as well as using children’s gardening tools to dig in a flower bed.
However, while the children’s profiles were sometimes in shot, most of the pics showed either them or Ernest from behind. Their faces were not fully shown in any of the photos.
And while this decision puzzled and frustrated some commenters, many still believed they could make out similarities to other relatives.

How royal fans reacted
Unsurprisingly, several fans could detect a likeness between Ernest and his mum.
“From what I can tell, he’s your ‘mini me!'” one follower responded.
“My thoughts exactly… that profile,” agreed another, making use of a heart emoji alongside their words.
A third concurred: “Came to say the same – spitting image of his Mama.” And a fourth chipped in: “He is the image of you.”
However, comparisons to the son of Prince Harry generated even more reactions.
Similarities to Prince Archie?
Those came as one commenter reflected on Ernest’s older brother’s appearance. “August looks exactly like ‘Archie’. Could be twins. Lovely to see brothers growing together. York and Sussex bond is strong.”
He has the same hair and shape of the head as Prince Archie.
This set off several commenters who pondered why Prince Archie was being mentioned, or whether there were enough clear images of either August or Archie’s faces to make the link. But many more also reckoned they could see the same.
“Yes he has the same hair and shape of the head as Prince Archie,” one person suggested.

“The hair is definitely similar,” wrote another.
Meanwhile, a third added: “Why do those beautiful babies look so much like cousins Harry’s beautiful children?”

Furthermore, amid criticism from some fans about not being able to see all of the royal children’s faces, someone else reasoned: “These are the most normal natural photos of kids, the ones you take the ones you see everywhere – not posed and forced and fake. They scream normal happy kids who are loved just for their presence and not for what they can show off to the world.”
