King Charles will feature in an Amazon Prime documentary that will highlight “remarkable work”.

Over the last few years, members of the royal family have been doing more for streaming services than ever before, especially with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries and shows on Netflix.

Prince William also recently appeared on Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ series, The Reluctant Traveler. He discussed his plans for the monarchy’s future as well as opened up about his personal life.

But now, it’s King Charles who looks set for a new show. While the palace usually work with the UK’s broadcasters ITV or BBC, it seems King Charles wanted this one to have an even bigger platform. Although, it will have a very different specific focus.

King Charles’ new Amazon Prime documentary

The 76-year-old king has teamed up for a film that is aimed at encouraging new audiences to embrace his environmental philosophy.

Details of the project were released this week.

King Charles said in a statement: “Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet. And to restore our relationship with it.

“It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony. And perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future.”

Currently, the film has the working title of Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision. It will air in early 2026.

King Charles will feature throughout the documentary, with his own reflections on his lifelong commitment to promoting a sustainable world.

To celebrate the show’s announcement, a new photograph of King Charles has been released by photographer Millie Pilkington.

The king wore a light summer suit and a pink patterned tie while standing on the grounds of Highgrove Gardens during filming.

King Charles’ statement

In his statement, King Charles shared his “hopes”.

He explained: “Nature is our sustainer. We are a part of nature. Therefore, what we do to her, we do to ourselves.

In other words, to restore balance to our planet, which is under stress.

“For much of my life I have sought to promote and encourage ways we can work with, rather than against nature. In other words, to restore balance to our planet, which is under stress.”

The king continued: “This film will, I hope, demonstrate just some of the remarkable work being done around the whole to put Harmony into practice. From the forests of Guyana to sustainable communities in India – and closer to home, through the work of my King’s Foundation.”

What do we know about the Amazon show?

While the show confirmation has just been made, reports claim that filming actually started way back in January.

The first location the king filmed at was Dumfries House in Scotland. And a film crew joined the king as he hosted a Harmony Summit at Highgrove Gardens back in July.

Passion Planet will produce the film in collaboration with the monarch’s charity, The King’s Foundation. It will be for Amazon MGM Studios.

It will air exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide early next year.
