Why did Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, not attend the royal Easter service?

According to HELLO!, Sophie missed the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor due to feeling “under the weather”.

Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Sophie and Edward’s daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, was also missing from the service. However, it’s believed she was busy with her studies. Lady Louise is currently studying English at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

Prince Edward attended the Easter Sunday service alongside his and Sophie’s son James, Earl of Wessex.

Meanwhile, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also missed the service this year.

Body language expert Judi James commented on the sweet moment. She told the Mirror: “It is a very unusual reward ritual from Charles, showing his softer side as a doting grandad.
