Kate Middleton wears sweet necklace on royal outing
As reported by PEOPLE, the 44-year-old royal wore her Gold Fixed Alphabet Necklace by Daniella Draper, featuring the letters G, C and L. The initials represent her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and are arranged in birth order.
The piece, which starts at $310, has been part of her collection for several years and has appeared at a number of engagements since at least 2021.
The necklace has previously been worn during both private and public moments. In September 2025, the princess paired it with an outfit for a visit to the Natural History Museum with Prince William, shortly after her children returned to school following the summer holidays. She also wore it again days later while touring British textile manufacturers.
It is one of several pieces in her jewellery collection that reference her children, underscoring a consistent preference for accessories with personal significance.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis coordinated in pale blue tones for the occasion.
During her latest engagement, the princess met families with babies and young children, as well as professionals working in early years development. The visit coincided with the launch of a new report and guide from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, an organisation she established in 2021 to highlight the importance of a child’s formative years.
The centre introduced “Foundations for Life: A Guide to Social and Emotional Development”, which includes a foreword written by the princess. It accompanies new research titled “The First Five Years: A Parent Perspective”, which found that parents value access to trusted practitioners and seek reliable information from formal sources.
Kate toured the University of East London’s Institute for the Science of Early Years and Youth during the visit, continuing her focus on early childhood development as a central part of her public work.

Kate set for Italy trip
Looking ahead, Kensington Palace has confirmed that the princess will travel to Reggio Emilia in Italy on May 13 and 14 for a fact-finding visit examining international approaches to supporting young children and their caregivers.
The trip marks the centre’s first major international engagement and will be her first official overseas visit since her cancer diagnosis.
The princess revealed in March 2024 that she was undergoing treatment for cancer and stepped back from public duties while completing chemotherapy. In January 2025, she confirmed that she was in remission.
