Kris Jenner has publicly thanked Meghan Markle for a Mother’s Day gift months after online speculation surrounding photos taken at the Kardashian family matriarch’s 70th birthday celebration.

On Wednesday, May 6, Kris shared an Instagram Stories post featuring candles and chocolates sent by the Duchess of Sussex from her As Ever lifestyle brand.

The post also included a handwritten card from Meghan.

“Thank you @meghan @aseverofficial for the beautiful Mother’s Day gifts! These candles smell so delicious!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!” Kris wrote alongside the images.

The card read in part: “Dear Kris, Happy Mother’s Day to the most maternal woman in the world.”

Among the gifts were candles inspired by the birthdays of Meghan’s kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as chocolates created through As Ever’s collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.

The exchange comes several months after speculation emerged online over an apparent rift between Kris, Kim Kardashian and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following Kris’ James Bond-themed 70th birthday party in November 2025.

Kris initially shared a photograph from the event showing herself posing with Meghan and Prince Harry, while Kim also posted a separate image with Meghan. Both photos were later removed from social media, prompting discussion among fans.

Dear Kris, Happy Mother’s Day to the most maternal woman in the world.

At the time, a source claimed to PEOPLE that Meghan and Harry “arrived hand-in-hand and looked very happy” during the evening.

“Meghan was glowing in a black wrap-style dress that showed off one leg. She looked very glamorous and fit the theme perfectly. Harry looked sharp in a tuxedo with a poppy for Remembrance Day,” the source said.

The timing of the party appearance drew criticism online because it took place on the eve of Remembrance Sunday, one of the most significant commemorations in the royal calendar.

Kim Kardashian addresses the drama

Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian addressed the situation during an appearance on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, insisting there was no fallout behind the scenes.

“It was really innocent, which is so crazy,” Kim said. “Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.”

Kim explained that the images had initially been approved for posting before concerns were raised over the timing.

“And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down,” she said. “And then I think they realized, like, ‘Oh, this was so silly.'”

The SKIMS founder added that Meghan and Harry’s attendance at the Baby2Baby charity gala on the same evening had been viewed differently from appearing at a private party.

“So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day,” Kim said.
