Prince William could barely contain his excitement as he cheered on beloved Aston Villa during their huge Europa League semi-final victory over Nottingham Forest.
The Prince of Wales was spotted singing along to Sweet Caroline, punching the air and celebrating wildly as Villa stormed to a 4-0 win at Villa Park to secure their place in the Europa League final.

Before kick-off, William was seen chatting with Villa manager Unai Emery and England boss Thomas Tuchel.
The future king then took his place in the stands alongside club ambassador Ahmed Elmohamady, nervously watching as Villa attempted to recover from a 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
But he visibly relaxed after Ollie Watkins levelled the tie in the first half.
Moments later, when Emi Buendía scored from the penalty spot, William leapt from his seat. He was seen pumping his fists in celebration as Villa seized control of the match.
Goals from John McGinn sealed the historic win and booked the club’s place in the final in Istanbul.
William was seen joining supporters in singing Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline, dancing and soaking in the atmosphere after one of Aston Villa’s biggest victories.

The celebrations didn’t stop there either.
Manager Unai Emery later revealed that William headed straight to the dressing room after the match to celebrate personally with the players and coaching staff.
“We spoke to Prince William,” Emery told reporters after the game, as reported by The Sun. “He was in the dressing room with the players and with me. And of course, he’s so happy as well.”

Prince William
William has supported Aston Villa since childhood and has frequently spoken about his love for the club.
The Prince was born just weeks after Villa famously won the European Cup in 1982. Over the years, he has become one of the team’s most famous supporters.
Earlier this year, he attended another Villa match alongside his eldest son, Prince George. The Prince of Wales admitted that he was feeling “terrified” and “really nervous” ahead of the game.
Fans were also surprised by the royal’s in-depth football knowledge during a TV interview before kick-off, where he discussed tactics and analysed Villa’s chances.
The prince has also shown his fun side away from football in recent years.
In 2024, William delighted royal fans when he was spotted dancing enthusiastically at a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The royal trio later posed for selfies with Taylor and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Footage of William dancing went viral online.
“Loving the enthusiasm! Taylor really is for everyone. Haha!!” One fan gushed at the time.
“He’s a Prince, but he’s a King for that,” another added.
