King Charles has unfortunate seagull encounter on royal engagement

As he began a meet and greet with the public, the bird chose to drop a little something on Charles’ suit jacket.

A video showed Charles walking around, greeting members of the public, with the splatter on the back of his jacket.

However, in true King Charles fashion, he laughed off the incident and joked: “It’s well it didn’t land on my head.”

He’s got a point!

Irene Marting, from the village of Dromara near Lisburn, was among the crowd and saw the moment unfold.

Queen Camilla’s unfortunate mishap on visit

On Tuesday, Queen Camilla joined King Charles as they visited Thompson Dock in Belfast. Here, they joined a showcase of music and culture.

The palace explained they heard about Titanic Distillers’ whisky-making process too. The distillery is housed within the restored Edwardian pumphouse that helped launch the famous ship.

However, upon arrival, Queen Camilla suffered an unfortunate mishap with her umbrella.

As she reached out to shake hands, she seemingly lost her grip on the umbrella. But, the umbrella then fell slightly and appeared to knock a woman’s face.

Somebody was trying to get him to put a coat on but he didn’t, being hit by a seagull it’s supposed to be good luck.

One person shared the moment on X, writing: “Camilla not only hitting a lady with her umbrella but didn’t seem like she apologised at all. My god the lack of grace this woman has.”

However, fans quickly defended the queen. One person hit back: “She wasn’t even aware she accidentally knocked the lady with her umbrella. She wasn’t looking in that direction. Had she, I’m sure she would’ve apologised. Trying to make a story out of nothing!!”

Another said: “How do you know she didn’t apologise dear? Were you there?”
