Prince William makes school confession about George

Currently, George, 12, attends Lambrook School in Berkshire. His younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight, also attend the school.

Later this year, George will move on to the next phase of his education. Where he’ll go has yet to be confirmed. Eton College, where Prince William attended as a youngster, is reportedly in the running.

On the radio today, William appeared to suggest that Prince George has been boarding at his current school.

When asked if he had a message for his kids this morning, William said on Heart: “Charlotte and Louis, because George is boarding last night, if you’re listening, make sure you’re on time, please.

“Make sure you’re not fighting over who’s listening to what this morning.”

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales also shared details on the school run in the mornings.

He said: “It can be [chaotic]. It depends if there’s a guitar lesson going on in the morning or a music lesson. You’ve got to get the guitar in the car. No we’re not taking the guitar. Are we boarding? No we’re not.

“Are we seeing friends? No we’re not. So there’s all that going on in the morning.”

He added: “There’s a lot of jam sandwiches taken in the car usually. Louis will leave jam fingerprints throughout the car which is really helpful.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Prince William gushed over his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales. The Princess of Wales faced a tough couple of years following a cancer diagnosis in 2024.

She underwent a course of treatment and announced in January of last year that she was in remission.

Since then, she has slowly been returning to full-time royal duties. Earlier this month, she took on her first official overseas trip since her recovery.

Speaking about Kate’s recent trip to Italy, William said he was “so proud” of her.

He added: “She’s an amazing mum, an amazing wife and literally our family couldn’t cope without her, so she’s been brilliant.”

William also addressed his recent appearance at an Aston Villa game. Earlier this week, the future king travelled to Turkey to watch his beloved football team Aston Villa compete in the Europa League final.

He was seen singing, cheering and even crying tears of joy as Villa beat SC Freiburg.

William told Amanda and Jamie this morning that his voice was “bit hoarse”, adding: “I don’t have a voice for radio this morning, I apologise!

“I try and remind myself that I am a football fan. I’m just going there to enjoy myself, but then I see the following day, and I realise actually a lot of people are watching you doing that.

“I got really into the moment. I’ve been following it most of my life, and so it was a huge moment for all Villa fans.”
