Prince William's 'frustration' over King Charles' behaviour amid Andrew scandal: 'There's some tension'
The king has taken action against his brotherPrince William reportedly feels “annoyed and frustrated that the buck keeps being passed on the Andrew issue”, a royal author has claimed.
William’s uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been under intense scrutiny for years over his past association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was also accused of sexual assault, allegations he has always vehemently denied.
Earlier this year, scrutiny intensified following the release of millions of files relating to Epstein and his crimes. Within these files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling over an unidentified woman as well as him relaxing with Epstein.
Andrew was also accused of sharing confidential and sensitive information with Epstein during his time as UK’s trade envoy. Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
He has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

Prince William ‘frustrated’ over handling of Andrew problem
The royal family has distanced itself from Andrew. But it seems William may want to take an even stricter approach, especially when he’s king.
Last year, King Charles initiated a formal process to have his brother’s royal titles and honours removed. Andrew was also ordered to leave his Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor.
He now lives on the Sandringham Estate while a police investigation continues.

According to royal author Andrew Lownie, the Prince of Wales may be taking a stern approach to his uncle.
Speaking to The i Paper, Lownie claimed that William “is annoyed and frustrated that the buck keeps being passed on the Andrew issue – that the Queen passed it to Charles, and Charles has had three years to address this, and hasn’t really done it. There’s some tension about that”.
Lownie continued: “Charles feels his obligations to his relatives. But he also has various skeletons in his closet [his infidelity with Diana, the ‘Black Spider’ memos proving he lobbied the government], and has needed to keep Andrew and Fergie inside the tent, whereas William doesn’t care about any of that.”
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace told the paper: “The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

Princess Anne’s ‘offer’ to Andrew
Meanwhile, Lownie has claimed that Princess Anne offered for Andrew to come and live with her when he was told to leave Royal Lodge.
Lownie claimed that William thought this was “madness”.
Charles feels his obligations to his relatives.
Royal Insider has contacted representatives for Kensington Palace for comment.
Following Andrew’s arrest in February, King Charles issued a personal statement. He declared: “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
