Prince Harry’s friend’s ‘brutal comment’ over Meghan Markle as she’s ‘blamed for making him too woke'

Reports claim Prince Harry‘s friends had some concerns about “woke” Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle famously tied the knot in 2018. Consequently, resulting in a fairytale wedding and their eventual move to California.
The duke and duchess now live with their two children in Montecito and lead a very different lifestyle.
However, one friend of Prince Harry’s allegedly questioned the royal over whether he really wanted to marry Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry’s friend questioned ‘woke’ Meghan Markle
After Harry left royal family duties in 2020, former palace staff were said to have described the prince as a “a tree-hugging lefty”. They were also said to see Harry as “rejecting the values and traditions of his family”.
These claims have been made by royal author Tom Quinn in his new book, Yes Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants.
Allegedly, Harry’s childhood pals are reported to have felt the same. Quinn spoke to hundreds of former and current palace staff members to learn what really goes on beyond the palace walls.
“Meghan was blamed for… making Harry ‘too woke,'” Quinn told Fox News Digital. “One of Harry’s best friends said, ‘I can’t understand what Harry sees in her. She’s a tree hugger. She’s so woke.’
He did become far more concerned about social issues and the rights of minorities than he’d ever been before Meghan’s arrival.
“For Harry’s traditional friends, being woke was not a good thing. But I think Harry was, in a way, entranced by the fact that Meghan was able to offer him an alternative world from the one he’d always known.”
Harry ‘taken away’ from his old world
The author went on to explain how a pheasant shoot at Sandringham with Harry’s friends left Meghan unimpressed with their jokes about wokeness.
Thus, triggering Harry’s shift across to share Meghan’s beliefs.
Quinn detailed: “He became much more sympathetic as she is about wanting to do good in the world. The idea of Harry being worried about those things before Meghan — it would never have occurred to him. I think Meghan really took him away from that [old] world, and they didn’t like that. The royals certainly didn’t like that.”
In his new book, Quinn went on to describe a palace aide’s experience and their thoughts on Harry’s evolution.
“That terrible modern word ‘woke’ has often been used, and although I don’t like it, I can see why it is applied to Harry. He did become far more concerned about social issues and the rights of minorities than he’d ever been before Meghan’s arrival,” said the former palace aide.
The author also claims that one of Harry’s former senior aides, now retired, said that he felt Harry went from “being pretty easy-going” to being “more disgruntled”.
