Prince Harry rumours he was approached by Netflix for Princess Diana documentary

Over the weekend, the Daily Express reported that the Duke of Sussex has been approached by Netflix to make a documentary about his mother, Princess Diana.

The documentary would be split into three episodes and would air in 2027 to mark 30 years since her death. The deal is reportedly worth £15m.

“The idea is that it would be a solo project for Harry, who would be a co-executive producer as well as hosting and narrating the series,” a source claimed.

“He is uniquely placed, not only to talk about the woman he knew as his mother but also to examine her role as an enduring social and cultural icon still beloved by so many,” they then added.

Harry Netflix rumours quashed

The source then went on to say that nothing has been agreed yet. However, they did say that talks were “positive”.

They added that it could even be an opportunity for Harry and William to reconcile.

“Harry might even see it as a stepping stone to building bridges with William and the rest of his family,” they said.

The news came amid reports claiming that the Sussexes are set to sign a new deal with Netflix.

However, a new report in the Independent claims that the rumours are “not true”.

Royal Insider has contacted Prince Harry’s representatives for comment.

With Love, Meghan renewed for second season by Netflix

Meanwhile, it’s been announced that With Love, Meghan has been renewed for a second season by Netflix. This is despite the mixed reaction to the show.

Mixed reaction or no, With Love, Meghan still made it into the streaming service’s top 10 list – though it wasn’t there long.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the second season will air later this year – and has already been filmed!

“This may raise a few eyebrows but one thing which Netflix love is controversy – and this show certainly created a lot of debate,” a source told The Sun.

“Many were so scathing about the eight-part series that they thought there was no way it would get another season.

“But it seems the streamer is delighted with the chatter its created on both sides of the Atlantic this week,” they then added.

Meanwhile, it’s also been reported that Harry has been left ” very upset” over the backlash aimed at Meghan’s show.

“Harry always got very, very upset when his wife was criticised, going right back to before their engagement,” a royal expert told Fabulous magazine recently.

“But Harry is super sensitive. So, I should think he’s loathing this backlash against Meghan and just thinking that it’s just the ‘unkind Brits’. I think that he gets very upset by all these things.”
