Warning given to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding guests

Alex captured the official portraits for the couple’s 2017 engagement and 2018 wedding.

He took to his TikTok account this week to mark the anniversary. Alex shared some details on shooting the newlyweds on their big day. He also shared the warning guests received upon arriving.

Speaking about the day, Alex said: “We arrive and it was such a bizarre day. You are arriving at this royal wedding, and as you enter the soldiers at the front gate, they tell you, ‘ladies and gentlemen, please be careful what you are saying to each other because the world can lip read.’

“As you walk in, you see a lot of people talking like this,” as he put his hand over his mouth. “Everybody on these cameras are watching and lip reading.”

Alex said the wedding ceremony was “beautiful”.

Alex revealed he had spoken to Harry before the wedding to ask for “any tips” on taking pictures of his family.

Alex continued: “He said to me, ‘listen, just with my grandparents [Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip], they’re very old, they’ve taken so many pictures in their life, it’s not their fun part so if you don’t get it quickly, they’re gonna just move out.'”

However, Alex said the Queen and Philip had arrived in the room before they had chance to get everyone else in place. He said he and Harry were then trying to get everyone in their places as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, he said: “As we’re all running around, I see the Queen standing there. I say to her lady, her assistant, ‘could you just go and tell Her Majesty that we’re going to be just five minutes?’ She looked at me and said, ‘no.’

“So I had to walk up to the Queen and say, ‘I’m terribly sorry Your Majesty, we’re going to be about five minutes.'”

In addition, Alex said: “She looked at me and said, ‘It’s not me you need to worry about.'”

This week, Meghan celebrated hers and Harry’s anniversary. Alongside family pictures, Meghan gushed: “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.

“Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!”
