A new book has shed light on Prince William‘s alleged feelings towards his uncle, Prince Andrew, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks, by Andrew Lownie, is an upcoming biography about the Duke and Duchess of York. The book “traces the lives” of Andrew, 65, and Sarah, 65, “through their childhoods, courtship, marriage, divorce, careers, and royal and charitable activities”.

One extract reportedly delves into the Prince of Wales’ feelings about the former couple.

Prince William’s ‘feelings’ about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson revealed in new book

According to the Mirror, which has seen the book, one extract claims that William has been trying to get Andrew and Sarah evicted from their Royal Lodge home in Windsor.

The 30-room property in Windsor Great Park has been Andrew’s home since 2004. Sarah moved into the home in 2008.

However, reports have claimed that King Charles wanted his brother out of Royal Lodge. He apparently wants them in a smaller home since Andrew is no longer a working royal.

I guarantee you the first thing William does when he eventually becomes king is to get them evicted.

When Andrew signed a 75-year lease on the home in 2003, it was agreed that he would undertake refurbishments at his own expense.

However, Prince William reportedly believes Andrew isn’t maintaining the property.

As reported by the Mirror, a source says in the book: “He [William] also loathes Sarah, Andrew’s ex-wife, and can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out.

“If Charles doesn’t, I guarantee you the first thing William does when he eventually becomes king is to get them evicted.”

Prince William’s ‘grudge’ against uncle Andrew

The book also reportedly touches on William’s “grudge” against his uncle. It’s reportedly because of his alleged treatment of his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, during their early romance.

Royal commentator Richard Kay discussed the claim in a piece for the Daily Mail in 2024.

He wrote: “Differences between monarch and heir do remain. Especially when it comes to the Prince Andrew scandal. William has long held a grudge against Andrew for being unwelcoming when he first introduced the then Kate Middleton to the royal family. [He] feels that his father has been too soft on him.”

Richard added: “It has led to speculation that it is William who is pushing his father to evict the Duke of York from Royal Lodge, so the Waleses could move in.”
