King Charles’ ‘plans’ for Princess Beatrice on her birthday

A former royal butler has spilled the tea on what the monarch could have up his sleeve for Princess Beatrice’s special day.

Grant Harrold, who was part of the royal household at Highgrove from 2004 to 2011, has shed light on Charles and Beatrice’s bond and explained just how important Beatrice is to the royal family.

According to Harrold, King Charles is “eager” to make the day memorable, even if it is still a low-key affair.

“King Charles will be eager to celebrate Princess Beatrice,” Harrold stated, on behalf of Fruity King.

“King Charles and Queen Camilla remain close to both Beatrice and Eugenie. Beatrice is well-liked within the royal family and often steps in to help. While the celebrations may be a private affair, a celebration is anticipated, reflecting her quiet but valued presence within the Firm.”

Princess Beatrice’s gifts from the royals

Harrold went on to explain what the royals may gift Beatrice to celebrate her birthday.

He said: “I don’t see any big celebrations, as it’s not a major birthday. I think Beatrice will go for a quiet and private affair with best wishes from the whole family, and a nice gift from King Charles. He doesn’t tend to give money, so I imagine he would give Beatrice a piece of jewellery.”

Royal commentators have recently dubbed Beatrice as The Firm’s “secret weapon,” as she has stepped up to more royal responsibilities in recent months.

Beatrice, who isn’t a full-time working royal and instead works as a strategist for tech firm Afiniti, has been given a lot of praise in recent months, with her popularity increasing as she has spent more time in the spotlight.

Princess Beatrice’s future as a working royal

Meanwhile, Grant Harrold has also opened up about his predictions for Beatrice’s future when Prince William takes to the throne.

“Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” he told The Mirror.

“They pull ranks when they need the support, and she’s been known to step up,” he went on to say. “But she has a job and does her own thing. She’s still such a valued member of the family.”

In January, Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, welcomed their second daughter, Athena.

It was here that Beatrice shed light on her struggles ahead and following Athena’s premature birth.

Beatrice admitted that “nothing quite prepares you for the moment you realise your baby is going to arrive early”.

She also opened up about how she was left feeling like she had “so little control” with an “overwhelming fear of the unknown”.

Beatrice and Edoardo also share daughter Sienna, born in September 2021.

Edoardo also has a nine-year-old son, Christopher “Wolfie” Wolfe, from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
