While Meghan Markle counts down to the second season of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have never made an appearance on the show.

The Duchess of Sussex has been sharing more photos and content around her children. From birthday tributes on their special days to pictures and videos of the family in their forever home in Montecito, it’s a different side to the royal.

Previously, Meghan and husband Prince Harry have fiercely protected their children from the public eye, out of fear over their safety. However, since she restarted her Instagram account this year, she has been sharing more about her family life with fans.

But does that mean we’ll finally see Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on With Love, Meghan as Markle’s new season airs?

Meghan Markle won’t show Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on With Love, Meghan, expert says

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet didn’t appear on the first series of With Love, Meghan when it aired in March, and a royal expert says this will be the case for the second season of Meghan Markle’s Netflix show.

Meghan, who shares Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, with the Duke of Sussex, usually keeps details private.

PR expert Rhea Freeman says their children will remain out of the series for an important reason.

She told the Express: “I would be really surprised is Lilibet and Archie appeared in this series in any really meaningful way – and this isn’t a criticism, it’s based on what Harry and Meghan have shown us of the children online in recent years.

“If we look at Meghan’s Instagram, for example, we sometimes see the back of the children’s heads, and there have been images of them as tiny babies, but when there’s a shot shared showing the children’s faces, they are obscured with an emoji.”

She added that they’re aiming to keep their children “protected and safe”, and want to avoid “additional exposure to the public” where they can be recognised.

Ms Freeman said: “With the criticism the couple have faced, and the regular mentions around security, not showing the children’s faces on TV makes perfect sense as a way to help keep them more protected and safe.”

Sussexes are sharing more about their family life

While Meghan has been sharing more online, the children are still hidden from public view. She tends to use emojis to cover their faces or only show the back of their heads over full pictures of her children.

After the shift from keeping them away from her online profile, the royal was said to change her mind about the attention her family receives.

But one insider claimed her husband Harry also champions the change as he hopes it’s a ‘desperate’ attempt to receive attention from his family. As it stands, the duke is estranged from the royal family since he and Meghan left The Firm in 2020. Following a series of bombshell interviews and allegations, including Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and his memoir two years later, it’s said the fractured relationship between the Sussexes and Windsors is at an all-time low.

Harry recently pleaded with his father to speak to him in a TV interview, seeming to confirm they were no longer on speaking terms.
