Meghan Markle echoes sentiment of Princess Kate with comment about Archie and Lilibet in New York
The two royals agree on something
Meghan Markle and Princess Kate seem to be on the same page about one topic, which the Duchess of Sussex spoke about in New York this week.
Meghan’s words during an event in New York last night (October 9) even seemed to echo that of Kate’s recent sentiments.
The Duchess of Sussex, hand in hand with Prince Harry, looked chic as she attended the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala in the Big Apple. Meghan and Harry were honoured with the Humanitarians of the Year award.
It was here that she shared a fresh insight into home life with their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Meghan Markle talks digital safety for young people in New York following Princess Kate’s essay
Meghan and Harry’s appearance comes just off the back of Princess Kate’s essay, which was published this week (titled The Power of Human Connection in a Distracted World) and echoed a similar sentiment.
Kate lamented the “epidemic of disconnection” and urged parents to consider the impact of screen time on their children.
She also discussed how this digital age prevents us from forming vital, meaningful connections.
It seems Meghan agrees, as she mentioned her two young children during her outing last night.
Speaking to the audience at the venue, Meghan said: “Our children, Archie and Lilibet, are just six and four years old. Can you believe it?
“Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming.
“Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Harry and Meghan win Humanitarians of the Year award
Fittingly, she and Prince Harry were honoured with the Humanitarians of the Year award in recognition of their work to make the online world safer for young people.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also honoured for their work with their non-profit Archewell Foundation and The Parents Network, to support families impacted by online harm.
According to reports, Harry stated in his speech: “Tonight we’re all here together to focus on what remains one of the most pressing pressing issues of our time… This is a pivotal moment in our collective mission to protect children and support families in the digital age. And we cannot do it without you.”
Prince Harry’s plans to work with ParentsTogether charity
The couple also mentioned their plans to work with ParentsTogether, a US charity which advocates for online safety for families.
Harry said: “We knew this movement needed to grow.
“These families are not only up against corporations and lobbyists, many of whom spend tens of millions of dollars every year in suppressing the truth, but also algorithms designed to maximise data collection at any cost.”
