Zara Tindall's clapback at claims she had nanny for her children
Zara is mum to three young royalsZara Tindall once hit back at reports that she had a nanny for her children.
The royal, 44, who is the daughter of Princess Anne, spoke out following the birth of her eldest daughter, Mia, in 2014.
Mia turns 12 on January 17.

Zara Tindall hits back at nanny claims
Almost 12 years ago, following the birth of her daughter, Mia, Zara spoke about how the press had been claiming that she had a nanny.
“The press have printed that I have a nanny, who is my best mate Dolly Maude, which they obviously haven’t realised. She’s been to two competitions and helped me, and she’s apparently my nanny… but she’s not, she’s got four of her own kids to look after,” she told The Telegraph.
When asked if she would be putting work on hold to be a “full-time mother”, she replied: “I am a full-time mother! I don’t know. The bigger they [babies] get, it’s easier for you to get back to what you were doing before.”

Which royals use nannies?
Zara didn’t use a nanny, but her cousin, Prince William, and his wife Princess Catherine, have been well-known to employ them.
The Wales family has had the same nanny since Prince George was eight months old.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, reportedly a nanny from the prestigious Norland College, has been a nanny to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Maria regularly appears alongside the royal children on outings and at royal events.
But her work doesn’t just stop at the Waleses’ home. She also accompanies the family on holidays abroad, and is in the background of several big royal events, including Trooping the Colour and weddings.
As well as reportedly earning a six-figure salary, Maria is apparently trained to dodge paparazzi, drive in extreme weather, and has even practiced Taekwondo!
You can usually spot Maria by her distinctive Norland Nanny outfit: a brown dress with a white collar, and a brown bowler hat.

Zara and Mike Tindall on having children
During an appearance on Loose Women back in 2021, Mike opened up about how having children changed his and Zara’s relationship.
Zara and Mike are parents to three children. In January 2014, they welcomed their eldest daughter, Mia.
In 2018, they had baby number two, Lena, who is now seven.
And in 2021, they had their only son, Lucas. He turns five in March.
“A marriage or long-term relationship can’t always be roses and rainbows,” he said.
“When you have children, that is a massive shock, change to your system that you’ve never experienced, and there is going to be those rocky roads,” he added.
“There are things that are thrown at you that have to test both of you and that will test that relationship. The thing is no one is right, no one is wrong. You have to work through it together.”
