New video of Prince Harry surfing sparks conspiracy theories: 'Is this real?'
Prince Harry showed off his surfing skills in a video shared on social media
Prince Harry has once again proven he’s fully embraced California life, this time, by riding waves like a pro at one of the most exclusive surfing spots in the world.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, was seemingly seen expertly surfing at Kelly Slater’s renowned Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California, in a video posted to Instagram by professional surfer, Raimana Van Bastolaer.
You can see the video here.
Wearing a black wetsuit, Harry crouched confidently on a white board as he carved through a six-foot barrel wave.

“Cannot stop you my brother for having a good time,” Van Bastolaer captioned the post, which showed multiple clips of Harry surfing both during the day and under floodlights.
At one point, Van Bastolaer can be seen riding beside the royal, gently placing a hand on his back to guide him through the wave.
The wave is an artificial, 2,300-foot-long feature known for producing perfect barrels. It has World Surf League accreditation and is widely considered the best man-made wave in the world.
Fans quickly flooded the comments section with excitement and disbelief.
“Wow the Prince has skills!” One gushed.
Another joked: “He’s never coming back to England.”
“I LOVE THIS!” A fan commented.
Meanwhile, one bewildered fan questioned: “Am I tripping or is this Prince Harry?”
Some questioned the legitimacy of the footage, suggesting it looked AI-generated, possibly due to the uncanny lighting and wave perfection.
Comments like “Looks like AI. Is this real?” and “Someone please tell me this isn’t AI?” prompted Van Bastolaer himself to jump in and confirm: “It’s all real.”

Prince Harry’s life in California
Harry’s surfing cameo comes just months after another video surfaced of him riding waves in Montecito.
Last summer, Meghan shared an Instagram video of Harry confidently surfing, set to Salt-N-Pepa’s Whatta Man.
Wearing shorts and a long-sleeved top, Harry was all smiles as he balanced on a wave, clearly enjoying himself. Meghan captioned the clip: “We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this important message.”
The duchess is believed to have gifted Harry his first surf lessons for his 36th birthday back in 2020.
Van Bastolaer has become close with the duke and frequently shares clips of their surf sessions.
In one previously deleted post, he even included a rare shot of Harry on a jet ski with young Prince Archie.
In the image, Harry clutched a board while Archie sat up front in a pale blue rash vest.
Harry’s return to the waves comes after a whirlwind few weeks.
Last month, he made a surprise appearance at the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Cookie Queens. The documentary was executive-produced by him and Meghan under Archewell Productions.
He also briefly returned to London for ongoing legal proceedings against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail.
