All eyes have been on Marsh Farm at Sandringham as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been awaiting renovations on his new abode.

As the disgraced former prince is under investigation due to alleged misconduct in relation to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, various home improvements have been underway at Marsh Farm. And they are said to be costing a “huge” amount.

Meanwhile, one expert is sure that Sarah Ferguson, also known as Fergie, could return to the royal sphere.

The ‘huge costs’ behind renovating Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Marsh Farm

A property expert has shared his thoughts on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s recent home move. He has even chimed in on whether Fergie could join him at his new five-bedroom pad.

Andrew reportedly settled in to Marsh Farm last week, weeks after vacating Royal Lodge.

The former Duke of York’s lifestyle has endured some dramatic changes in the past few months.

In October last year, the palace announced that Andrew’s remaining royal titles and honours would be removed. It came amid renewed scrutiny around his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

For years, Andrew has faced backlash and questions over his links to the disgraced financier. He has also faced allegations of sexual assault.

Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life last April, alleged she was made to have sex with Andrew on three separate occasions in the early 2000s when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein.

Andrew always vehemently denied these allegations.

Andrew’s life at Sandringham

Unsurprisingly, following his arrest in February and subsequent release under investigation, Andrew has been laying low.

More recently, Andrew was snapped nearby his new home, walking his dog, earlier this month.

Reportedly, the renovations at Marsh Farm included a new security fence, CCTV cameras, carpets, blinds, and Sky TV.

According to Elliot Castle, CEO of We Buy Any Home, as per The Mirror, these improvements could have cost a six-figure sum.

“From a property perspective, this looks far more like a managed family arrangement than a typical move,” he explained.

“Marsh Farm appears to have been prepared specifically for Andrew, with privacy and security front of mind, so it’s unlikely to be a short-term stop. Renovating a rural property to that standard is not cheap. Once you factor in interiors, structural updates and high-end security, costs can quickly run into the six-figure range, particularly on an estate setting.”

Fergie could move in with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Castle also believes Marsh Farm could end up being Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s long-term base and he could even invite Fergie to move in with him.

He cited “security” and “routine” as clues as to why Fergie may return to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s side – likely because she has endured similar scrutiny after a closer friendship than expected between Fergie and Epstein was uncovered in a recent tranche of the Epstein files.

“As for Sarah Ferguson,” Castle said, “it wouldn’t be unusual from a property standpoint for former partners to share a living arrangement, especially where security and routine are involved. Whether she joins him is personal, but it’s certainly feasible. Her ability to live there would depend on the nature of Andrew’s occupation and whether consent is required.”

Representatives for both parties have been contacted for comment.
