According to reports, Princess Eugenie has been “quietly dropped” from her role at King Charles’ foundation.

Last May, Eugenie, the younger daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, was appointed as a mentor for the foundation’s “35 under 35” initiative.

The initiative celebrates young people making a difference in areas like the environment, conservation, traditional crafts and the arts.

However, a new report has claimed that the role “barely lasted a year”.

Princess Eugenie ‘quietly dropped’ from King Charles’ foundation

According to the Daily Mail‘s Ephraim Hardcastle, Eugenie has “quietly been dropped”.

A source said that the “disgrace” surrounding her father, Andrew, cast a “deep shadow” over her role.

However, HELLO! has reported that the network was only ever limited to the Foundation’s anniversary year. This means the network came to an end naturally without anything “sinister” occurring.

Andrew and Sarah’s association with Epstein

The former couple have kept a low profile following the release of millions of Epstein files in January.

Within the files, emails allegedly showed the extent of Sarah and Epstein’s friendship.

One email from 2009 appeared to show Sarah describing Epstein as “the brother I have always wished for”.

Meanwhile, in 2010, as reported by the BBC, an email from “Sarah” to Epstein read: “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness.

“Xx I am at your service . Just marry me.”

Meanwhile, King Charles’ brother Andrew is also under scrutiny over his past links to Epstein.

He was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It came after he was accused of sharing sensitive and confidential information with Epstein in 2010 during his time as UK’s trade envoy.

Hours after his arrest, police released Andrew under investigation. At the time of writing, the investigation continues.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.

Andrew has faced scrutiny for years over his past links to Epstein. He was also accused of sexual assault, allegations he has always vehemently denied.

Meanwhile, reports initially suggested that Beatrice and Eugenie could join members of the royal family at the nuptials.

However, with the scandal continuing against Andrew and Sarah, a source recently claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie would “never want to overshadow the bride and groom’s happy day” so may not attend.
