Princess Diana's 'wonderful' remarks about newly married life with Charles uncovered in letter
Diana and Charles's marriage wasn't all challenges
According to an uncovered letter said to be from Princess Diana, once upon a time, her relationship with then-Prince Charles wasn’t all negative, like it was portrayed in the public eye.
Before the infidelity, quarrels and strained efforts to save their marriage, Princess Diana was said to have portrayed Prince Charles in a very charming light.
New piece will ‘expose’ Diana and Charles’s marriage
On May 8, Gorringe’s auction house revealed that a very special piece would be coming up for sale.
A cache of items connected to the late Princess of Wales are set to be released.

They come from the collection of Katherine Hanbury, a close friend of Diana, who grew up with her at West Heath Girls’ School between 1973 and 1977.
The lot up for auction on July 7 includes “The Honeymoon Letter”.
This letter is said to capture Princess Diana gushing about her new husband in September of 1981.
Princess Diana’s ‘wonderful’ remarks about newly married life
Princess Diana allegedly penned as per The Telegraph: “We had a blissful honeymoon with endless sun and luckily calm seas…we are now up in Scotland until the end of October, which is a big treat for us. I adore being outside all day & hate London!”

She went on to say: “Its [sic] wonderful being married – I think its [sic] safe to say that after two months…!”
Princess Diana was also said to have given a glimpse into slotting in alongside The Firm and getting used to royal life.
“Its [sic] a case of playing with grown-ups!”
Gorringe’s dates the three page letter as sent in September of 1981, whilst Princess Diana was honeymooning with Charles at Balmoral.

A glimpse into Princess Diana’s past
Meanwhile, The Honeymoon Letter isn’t the only treasured item coming up for sale.
The trove of items also includes a colour photo of Diana during her time at West Heath Girls’ School.
Amongst the lot is a program from a thanksgiving service held at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in November 1997 following her untimely death.
This coveted collection is expected to fetch between £4,000 and £6,000.
It will be up for grabs in Gorringe’s Fine Art & Interiors sale on July 7
Evidently, the letter is especially interesting as it shows a very different side to Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles’s relationship.
It shows an angle far from the usual portrayal of the various scandals that they were both embroiled in.
From Charles’s infidelity to Diana’s alleged affairs, the duo endured many bumps in the road.
Charles and Diana were together for 11 years before their split in 1992.
They had married on July 29, in 1981, in a globally televised ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral.
They went on to welcome two sons, Prince William in 1982 and Prince Harry in 1984.
Their marriage ultimately broke down, leading to their official divorce in 1996.
