Sad 'reason' King Charles is 'dreading' US state visit with Trump: 'Hasn't had to cope with this before'
Trump has been very vocal in recent weeksKing Charles will soon embark on a trip to the US for a state visit as he’s set to reunite with Donald Trump.
Last September, the king hosted Trump in Windsor for the president’s historic second state visit.
Next week, King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel across the pond to mark the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
However, according to one royal commentator, the king may be “dreading” the upcoming visit.

‘Reason’ King Charles could be ‘dreading’ US state visit
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe reckons King Charles may be “privately dreading” the trip because of President Trump’s recent criticism of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Trump has criticised Starmer in recent months after the PM didn’t allow the US to use British bases to attack Iran.
Since then, Trump has made several comments about Starmer. He admitted he was “disappointed” in the PM for not providing more support for his war with Iran.
The pressure’s on Charles to make this a success, definitely.

Speaking to the Mirror, Larcombe said: “This is one of, if not the biggest tests of King Charles since he became monarch, because a historically special relationship is in a perilous situation.
“Donald Trump is openly criticising the Prime Minister, which is something that Charles hasn’t had to cope with before.”
He added: “Donald Trump is his own force and we know how much the royal connection means to him, so the pressure’s on Charles to make this a success, definitely.”
Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Trump’s comment on King Charles ahead of US visit
Earlier this month, President Trump dragged King Charles into the drama with Starmer.
When asked about King Charles by The Telegraph, Trump said: “I like him. I always liked him as a prince. He’s a good man, a great representative for your country.
“I think he would have taken a very different stand [on the war in Iran] but he doesn’t do that. I mean, he’s a great gentleman.”
King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to visit the US from April 27 to April 30. Then, King Charles will travel alone to Bermuda from May 1 to 2.
