Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie told to 'give up royal titles' as they face fresh accusations amid Andrew and Sarah scandal
The sisters' royal status has been a discussion for monthsPrincesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been urged to give up their royal titles as the scandal surrounding their parents rumbles on.
Last year, Beatrice and Eugenie’s father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his royal titles. It came amid mounting scrutiny over his past association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Following the move, there was much discussion over whether Beatrice and Eugenie should also have their royal titles and HRH status removed.
Now, one royal author reckons they should and has even accused the sisters of “collecting contacts off the backs of their parents”.

Andrew and Sarah scandal
Beatrice and Eugenie’s parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have both faced backlash over their past links to Epstein.
Following the release of millions of Epstein files in January, both Andrew and Sarah were seemingly named in the documents.
Emails appeared to show the extent of their friendships with the disgraced financier.
Andrew was also arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It came after he was accused of sharing confidential and sensitive information with Epstein during his time as UK’s trade envoy.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie accused of ‘collecting contacts off the backs of their parents’
Royal author Andrew Lownie has now addressed Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal status.
Despite not being working royals, the sisters hold princess titles and HRH status. But there have been some calls for the sisters to lose their titles since they’re not working royals.
Speaking on the Daily Mail‘s Palace Confidential podcast, Lownie said: “There has been a big PR campaign to suggest the princesses’ innocence – that they are collateral damage, that they should not be penalised for the sins of their parents. But everything I found in my research suggests they were part of the whole operation. They have been collecting contacts off the backs of their parents.”
Meanwhile, discussing their titles, Lownie added: “The obvious thing for them to do would be to give up their titles and retire from public life.
“Concentrate on their careers and families. We had a moment where Prince William wanted them to carry out an audit of their business activities, to satisfy him that there were no embarrassing stories there. I understand that they didn’t do that and that doesn’t look good.”

Why are Beatrice and Eugenie moving back into the spotlight?
Elsewhere, the duo have apparently returned to public life more so in the past few weeks for a very specific reason, according to reports.
Beatrice and Eugenie were surrounded by A-listers, as per The Sun, last Thursday, as they attended socialite Poppy Delevingne’s 40th birthday party at The Hart pub in central London.
Poppy’s star-studded guest list reportedly included the likes of Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Georgia May Jagger, Rita Ora, Lily James and Pixie Geldof – now that sounds like a fabulous celebration!
It was the most high profile occasion the duo have stepped out together to since their father’s arrest – and apparently, they chose it for a significant reason.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that it was “very significant” choice.
He explained that it was a good moment for the York sisters to “dip their toes back into public life,” away from The Firm.
“Beatrice has faced rumours about her marriage, making things absolutely impossible for her in recent months. Then we had the news that they wouldn’t be at the Easter service, which they simply couldn’t be — they would have completely overshadowed it.
“They are dipping their toes in the water, and trying to put a more positive aura on life generally.”

How Andrew ‘found out’ about Eugenie’s baby news
Meanwhile, in other reports, a source has revealed the way Andrew found out about daughter Eugenie’s third pregnancy.
The obvious thing for them to do would be to give up their titles and retire from public life.
Princess Eugenie is expecting her third child with her husband Jack Brooksbank. She recently announced the news on her Instagram.
